Basicallyit ain't going to hurt - can only help, i personally - based on my approx 12>14k miles year - do an oil change every 6 mths. Kwik fit do a complete oil and filter change using proper Zetec oil (refusing to allow me to pay more for the Mobil one stuff :o ) for the price of £34.99.
Eventhe Dry Dual Clutch automated manual (PowerShift) transmission only uses 1.7 quarts of transmission fluid in service (1.8 quarts listed from dry however). So who ever says a manual Focus needed more than the specified amount is at best ignorant, and at worst a lying thieving b-stard.

Withit is a card produced by Ford with all of the 2015 ford models on it for 1.5tdci fiesta and focus it says recommended Castrol oil is 5/30 (it says FORD/00060 in corner) But the handbook says it should be 0/30. ButI'm curious as to when to change the gearbox oil, how many litres it takes and what oil is the best. Also how reliable are the Mk3 Focus ST gearboxes. MMT 6 gearbox takes 1.7 Litres of 75w-80 oil. The MMT 6 is pretty solid, it's been about for a while (was also used in the MK3 Mondeo ST220 @ 280Nm) ST250 is 260Nm. mscMiCC.
