If backing it up and resetting the watch does not help then I'd suggest to use a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre for assistance.

If you’re experienced with microsoldering it may be worth the effort, otherwise I would invest in a new phone or send it off to a professional!I typically put my watch on the charger at night and always make sure that it is charging before I go to sleep. Every now and then I will wake up to a flashing red light and the watch is at something less than 100%, but typically above 80%. I am not sure what the cause is as I would think if the battery is going it would do it all the time.

Yes on both. Conversely, Gear S3 will not charge on the GW3 charger though. The first few days I had it I charged my GW3 on my Gear S2 charger and everything was fine. Then one time I noticed my GW3 had an over temperature screen while charging on the old S2 charger.
